Well, we finally gave in. After deciding to wait to get Lily's ears pierced until she was old enough to ask for it and then her asking for it when she was a year old, we tried every clip-on earring imaginable. Unfortunately, they all hurt her ears and she would pull them off after a short time. So, while at the mall doing some Christmas shopping, we popped into a store and Lily picked out little silver balls.
She was so excited and then cried for just a few seconds, but once she saw what that pinch was, she broke out in a smile. I said, "Lily, you got your ears pierced!" and she beamed "Yeah, just like yours." She's been great with them and periodically remembers and tells me again like it's new news. She's obviously pleased!
