The Little Professor

Aunt Stephanie sent us a fun game called "Wer bin Ich?" (or Who am I?). It's a lot of fun for everyone, but you are supposed to ask YES/NO questions of the other players to figure out what picture is stuck to your head.

Since Lily is so little, we'll try to give her hints instead. She sometimes picks out her own card and then "guesses" the wrong answer a few times before "guessing" correctly of course what her card is :)
The other day, Lily had a flower on her head and Addison, being the helpful big brother he is, gave this hint.. very slowly and carefully so as Lily would not misunderstand.. "Bees drink nectar out of it"... Yup. He said nectar! What a riot!

Addison is constantly giving his parents a double take on his communication and aptitude. And over the past couple of months, he's taken it upon himself to help strangers too.

One night this summer while putting him to bed, he asked the big question about where babies come from with what seemed like an eternity of follow-up questions. He finally declared that Lily would have a baby some day and it would be a girl.

He LOVES preschool time where we just give him little worksheets to do out of a book from Borders. He is very good at Math and can even add in his head to a limited degree. Reading Readiness also comes very easy to him. If we want to move on though, all we have to do is give him a writing exercise and he'll run for his bike... FAST! It seems that will be our challenge area.
He's always looking for more, more, more. We've now read to him: Charlotte's Web, The Cricket in Times Square, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, and Ralph and the Motorcycle. Right now, he's intent on learning to play Chess. That's a great sport for developing his patience!
