It is so much fun establishing traditions for our growing family! This year Addison and Mommy went on their very first date! It was also the first time both Addison and Mommy went to see a performance of The Nutcracker! Addison and Mommy were dressed up and ready for the town! The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts put on a wonderful show. Addison absorbed every minute of it. He was so excited and on the edge of Mommy's lap the whole time! (We had two seats, but it was hard for Addison to see.) At the end of the first Act, snow began to fall in the theater. While a wave of awe rolled over the crowd, Addison was immediately concerned. "Mommy, won't they get cold?" referring to the scantily clad dancers. During intermission, we hit the bathroom and Addison wondered if they would bring a snow plow in to clean up the snow before the show began again. Mommy was very impressed with Addison's longevity (and also with how tight the men's leotards seemed). He only began to get squirmy toward the end, but he was also very tired. Afterward, we got a Nutcracker ornament to remember our very first show as this will surely be an annual event for the Sharp family. Perhaps Daddy & Lily will join us next year...
