Merry Christmas 2006!

Oh, the questions!! We're not sure how good of a job we did as parents answering all of the questions about Santa Claus, but we kind of got to the point where we felt that Addison was just humoring us. We went to the mall to see Santa Claus. Addison was very direct and very consistent in his request, "I'd like two shopping carts, one for me and one for Lily, food to put in the shopping carts, and big jets." It just so happens that he knows Santa can get all of these things at Target.

Lily wasn't too sure about Santa Claus either. She just kept looking at him and then looking at us. The comfort thumb was in the mouth the whole time! As we shopped for gifts for the nephews and Adrianna, Lily saw a little horse on the bottom shelf with a long shiny mane and tail. Lily loves horses. She pointed it out in her point, yell, and squat the butt stance. A little later as we turned a corner, she actually picked one up off the shelf and tucked it in her arms. We then knew what Lily wanted for Christmas!

On Christmas Eve, Addison and Mommy made Peanut Butter cookies for Santa and Mommy read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" before Lily went to bed. Addison, Mommy, and Daddy watched a little bit of Mickey Mouse's Christmas Movie. Addison kept chuckling at all of the silly antics. It was so adorable and of course, made us laugh. Last year, we left cottage cheese and milk for Santa. (Cottage Cheese is an addiction with both Addison and Lily). This year, we left cookies, milk, and cottage cheese.

Santa must have liked it, because Christmas morning we woke to find that Addison had received everything he'd asked for (plus some) and Santa just knew that Lily wanted the Missy Horse. Lily also really enjoyed her new jewelry and her new Pirate Ship. Addison LOVES playing games and especially likes his new "Knuckling Knights" game. Thank you so much to all of you who sent gifts this Christmas. We had such a special day and it will be fun to see the kids enjoy all of their new toys and book.
