This has been a fun summer so far. We are especially excited that Aunt Stephanie is visiting with Jakob and Ryan! Grandma & Grandpa's pool has showed us that both Addison and Lily are waterbabies! Addison is a little kami-kazi jumping off of the diving board and sliding down the slide. He actually tried to dive once... and only once - even he has his limits.
Addison has been such a trip with his ever evolving sense of humor. He didn't like the way his dinner looked the other night and when told that he needed to at least try it (because he'd had it before and we knew he liked it), he pulled up his shirt, motioned, and asked if he could just put it in his belly. And if I could have only captured on camera how excited Addison was about his new Bob the Builder underwear. That would have been one for the little blackmail box :)
Lily is standing now and we know it won't be long before she's walking. She cut her first two teeth on bottom and then cut one of her top side teeth. Now she's getting her top two middles and the other side all at the same time! She's a trooper though.
She's definitely doing things her own way. I love and hate how much she detests being coddled when she's tired. As she leans into her crib, it's like she's telling me, "I'll be fine, just please leave quickly so I can get some sleep." She's still taking at least two naps a day and is sleeping from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.!
