Happy Birthday Addison!!

Addison is 3!! WOW!!! Addison woke up to a breakfast of cottage cheese and milk - his current favorite (yes, he's taking a vitamin these days!). After breakfast, we took him down to the basement where he saw his new bike! He was very excited. We put on his helmet and he started off, training wheels and all. He had gotten to point on his tricycle that his knees were knocking his elbows, so this was perfect timing. After awhile, Addison made a comment about his tires being broke. Yep - we forgot to put air in the tires! No wonder he was having such a tough time pedaling!! Duh!

After we enjoyed our bike for awhile and Lily woke up from her morning nap, we went to the North End Cafe on Frankfort Avenue (a historic part of Louisville) for lunch with the Doyles. Henry is Addison's best friend and his daddy stays home with him and his baby sister too! We really enjoy spending time with the Doyles. Addison had asked Mommy to make an "Apple Cake"- which Mommy didn't know existed until she told Addison that she would make one. It was great! We had Apple Cake and vanilla ice cream after singing Happy Birthday to Addison and he did a great job of blowing out his candles.

Mommy, Addison, Beth, and Henry then left to see Sesame Street Live: Elmo's Coloring Book at the Brown Theater. Addison and Henry were both ready with Elmo dolls in hand. The story was about a white bear who was taking the color from Sesame Street. She took the green (and subsequently the grouchy) out of Oscar. Ultimately, everyone got their color back and she was given a beautiful rainbow scarf. It was a lot of fun. Addison and Henry maintain that they really enjoyed it. They both had a drop jaw look of awe across their faces the entire time.
